This is a Zeiss Ikon Nettar 515/2 folding camera, complete with it's original leather case, & dating to the late 1930's. The lens is a Nettar Anastigmat f6.3 10.5cm, & the rotating lens cell is marked with a distance scale from 6 feet through 9, 12, 18, 24, & 48, to infinity. The shutter is a Derval, with speeds of 25, 50, 100, B (short exposure), & T (long exposure). The stops scale is marked 6.3, 8, 11, a red dot, 16, 22, & 32. The shutter is snappy & works on all speeds & on B/T correctly (although I cannot guarantee accuracy), & it comes with it's original, orange top flexible release shutter button, which also works correctly. The viewfinder sits upright for vertical pictures, but rotates for horizontal ones, & there is also a folding metal frame finder & sight on the side of the camera. Condition is Fine, the bellows look to have had minimal use & are light tight, & the leatherette covering is extremely good with no bubbling or wear. The metal edging to the rear of the case is part worn, as is one edge on the metal frame finder, & the interior metal back plate has a few spots with a light dusting of surface rust - Please see magnified photos. The camera is quite heavy for it's size at approx 700g. |
