This is a small Scottish art glass bowl or vase, made by Vasart & signed, & dating to the 1950's.

Although often referred to as the 'Top Hat', the actual design was catalogued by Vasart as 'BO15', & was made sometime between 1946 & 1956.

The bowl is in a lovely pastel colour scheme, with the bottom being a dusky, pastel pink which gradually darkens towards the top to a deeper, pink / purple. The glass has dark, blueish purple inclusions throughout, particularly towards the top.

The base of the bowl has a pontil mark, & has the acid etched signature 'vasart'.

Condition is excellent, with no chips, cracks, hairlines, or restoration. There is extremely light surface wear to the rim of the base (as would be expected) - please see magnified photos.

The bowl is approx 2 3/4" high (7cm), with a diameter at the top of approx 4 3/4" (12cm), & a diameter at the base of approx 3" (7.7cm).
