This is a Swiss movement pocket watch, produced in 1935 to commemorate the jubilee year of William Younger's Brewery, Edinburgh. The movement requires a new mainspring (see photo) as the watch is presently not working. The watch has a Swiss made 'crown wind-crown set' movement within a plated case, with a snap-on back & a fixed crystal. The dial has Arabic numerals with a 24 hour chapter ring, and has the legend 'TIME FLIES BUT YOU CAN GET "YOUNGER" EVERY DAY' to the centre. The rear of the case has been impressed with 'JUBILEE YEAR - 1935 - Wm YOUNGER & Co LTD - BREWERS - EDINBURGH'. Condition, other than the aforementioned mainspring, is fair. The dial has some small spots of foxing?, there is plate loss around the inscription on the rear of the case, & the crystal (which seems to be made of an early celluloid?) has yellowed a little and has surface wear - please see magnified photos. The watch measures approx 2 3/8" tall (inc. the crown / exc. the bow) and has a diameter of approx 2" (approx 6cm & 5cm) William Younger's Brewery (founded in Edinburgh in 1749) merged with Wm McEwan's Brewery in 1931, becoming Scottish Brewers. The company merged again in 1960, joining with Newcastle Breweries to form Scottish & Newcastle.
