Pair Canton Carved Ivory Cotton Barrels c.1810

This is a pair of carved Ivory Cotton Barrels, almost certainly originating from Canton, China, and dating to the early part of the 19th Century, around 1810 - 30.

Both barrels have a bird / butterfly? design to the body & a floral design to the lids, & have the distinctive deep, three dimensional style of carving which is typical of Canton pieces.

The lids of each barrel should unscrew but over time, have become fast, otherwise they are in Fine condition with no damage.

Each barrel is approx 7/8" or just over 2cm in height (each barrel is slightly different).
