This is a solid Silver pocket watch with a stem wind / set Swiss movement in working order, by A L Dennison, & fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1919. CASE: The Silver case has a plain back, hallmarked to the interior, which hinges open to reveal a plain Silver cuvette, also fully hallmarked, which hinges open to reveal the movement. MOVEMENT: The movement is stem wound & set, and is marked 'SWISS MADE'. BEZEL: The bezel hinges open & the crystal is fine, with expected light surface marks. DIAL: The dial is white enamel with Roman numerals, with a secondary 60 second dial at 6 o' clock. HALLMARKS: The case is marked with the makers mark 'A.L.D.' (A L Dennison), the lion passant (925 Sterling), the anchor (Birmingham), & the date letter 'u' (1919 - 20). There is also the number '85774'. The cuvette bears the makers mark, lion passant, date letter, the number '85774', 2 OZ, & 'DENNISON WATCH CASE Co Ltd'. CONDITION: The watch is in working order. The case has a few minor scratches (particularly where the case front/rear is opened) & the dial has a hairline between 10 & 11 o'clock (very difficult to notice) & a small area of wear between 40 & 60 seconds on the sub dial - please see magnified photos. DIMENSIONS: The watch is approx 2 1/8" or 5.3cm in diameter (exc. bow & crown).
