This is a miniature crested ware vase, by W & R Carlton China, & dating to between 1906 & 1927.

The front of the vase has a transfer of Grace Darling & reads 'HEROINE OF THE FARNE ISLANDS' - 'GRACE DARLING' & 'COPYRIGHT'.

The base of the vase has the Carlton China Stoke On Trent crown & swallow backstamp, with 'CARLTON CHINA' underneath. This mark was used between 1906 & 1927.

There is a very small chip to the top of the rim (at the front), otherwise it is fine - please see magnified photos.
