| This extraordinary necklace is very similar and have the quality of the best necklaces worn by Frida Kahlo! It was strung using Pre Columbia Pre Classic Guerrero Beads. These beads are probably from the late Mesoamerican Pre Classic period (2000 BCE–200 CE). The necklace is absolutely magical. The stone beads are interspersed with antique Mexican silver beads (early 20th C). The silver beads were used only as spacers for decorative purpose yet the complement the stone beads on the necklace is a unique, extraordinary fashion. Beads of this size are a very, very rare find. The clasp is a matching contemporary sterling and stone. The necklace length is 21 inches. The central tubular bead measures 1-3/4" in length and it is 2-3/4" diameter. The larger spheric beads are 4-1/2" in diameter. All stone beads are guaranteed authentic and are have biconical perforations as expected. Strung onto soft leather cord. MUSEUM QUALITY | |||||||
