| Gorgeous Oaxacan cross and chain. These pieces are probably from the first half of the 10th Century. The gold is 12k. This type of chain is characteristic of southwestern Mexico and Guatemala. Each link is 3D and has four sides. Crosses and chains like these were made for the local women and not as export items.
