HAGI, KANETA MASANAO, a Hollowed-Flower Vase.
This work is a work of 8th generation Ten Cho-Zan-kiln KANETA-MASANAO.
Masanao Kaneta which continues the original chinaware making work using "KURINUKI-technique" in HAGI.
"KURINUKI" holloweds and molds the inside of clay, after striking and rebuking the lump of the ground with a board.
He has the career of having studied carving and clay sculpture in school days, and the exciting form which makes the ridgeline of a mountain consider serves as the maximum charm.
A wood-fired in reduction and straw-ashes glaze with a beautiful lavender color, and its peculiar form match very beautifully.
He is a ceramist who represents with the historied ground of CHATOU-HAGI (tea ceremony pottery HAGI) the present age ceramic art community which reclaims a new fresh ground.
The work bottom is engraved with the scratch signature of Mr. MASANAO.
The signed cloth, the signature storage box made from the paulownia only for a special order, and a guide are attached to this work.
The autograph signature of Mr. MASANAO is written to the storage box by himself.
