| Similar in age and style to our other, Ming style, Cypress table. The surface shows its use, which is how I discovered it under piles of other stuff. A brief glimpse of that warm orange, and a divet on the surface, due to lord knows how many placings of a hot pot or something similar. This, to me (a wood grain and character type), adds to its attraction as a completely intact yet appropriately used table. I tried to catch it in the photo, but it didn't come out overly well (the divet that is). I'll see what I can do to capture it. Protective coat of shellac/wax added to the surface. Otherwise, normal wear. circa 18th/19th century. Approximately 33”x49.5”x22” | |||||
