A Pair of Tusk Ivory Square Decorative center pieces each piece surmounted with an Ivory of the Lion of Foo. Lions of Foo were placed at the entrance of temples and believed to ward off evil spirits and Demons; they were also used to protect the home. The front of each delectably carved and inked in a serene setting. One depicting a river scene with mountains as a back drop and a river scene. Each of the sides carved with a kefreck pattern...

Nigeria Yoruba Statue Woman with baby. Very rare. mid to late 19th C. Very Heavy! Palm wood. 143cm x 27cm. Condition good some dry rot but stable. Patina:Light brown, dry, significant patina. Dan Tribal Turtle Shell mask w/ tranlucense and feathers. Early to mid 19th century. The shell is translucent whice takes over a century (NOT ENDAGERED SPECIES). Beautiful piece.
