| This is a wonderful 14" high fossil of a 400 Million year old Ammonite chiseled out of granite hard stone with a base carved and left on the piece for display. The Ammonite itself has been polished down to reveal the inner air chambers that this animal used to float at different depths in the Silurian Period Iceans almost half a Billion years ago. Its is a great conversation peice, Displays wonderfully and is solid as a peice of granite. It also weighs as much. This is from my personal collection which is getting to large. It is unusual in that its display base is part of the fossil and ready for display. A fantastic gife for the coming Holiday seasons. | ||||||||||||
