This wonderful Japanese wooden sculpture or carving is of Daruma. Daruma is known as the father of Zen Buddhism and for bringing Buddhism to Japan. This is solid. There is a piece on the top of the head that looks like it may have a holes at one time but they are filled. Age: Taisho Period Measurements: Approximately 8 1/2" by 6" Condition: Some age scratches to the wood but overall in excellent antique condition. |
