Very detailed Japanese Satsuma cup and saucer. There are 4 separate scenes, each possibly telling a story. Women in kimonos as well as monks and deities adorn both the cup and saucer. Age Meiji Measurements: Saucer: 5 3/8" in diameter; Cup: 3 3/8" in diameter Condition: Some wear to edges of the gold on the rim of the cup, a few scratches on the paint and some minor crazing in the center of the saucer. Otherwise, excellent antique condition |
