Sandwich Glass Factory Souvenir Postcard 1925
This unusual (and probably rare) 5-3/8" x 3-1/2" commemorative postcard depicts "THE OLD FACTORY AT SANDWICH WHERE SANDWICH GLASS WAS MADE." The years 1825 and 1925 appear at the top left and right, dating the piece to 1925. Under the image, the text reads 100TH ANNIVERSARY EXHIBITION, HISTORICAL BUILDING, SANDWICH, JULY 25 TO AUGUST 15.

The sparse text on the back of this unused card does not give information about the publisher, although it does say to "place 2 cent stamp" in the stamp area. Sandwich, Massachusetts, was the site of this early (Federal period) American blown glass company, which is quite collectible today.

The card is in excellent condition, with minor bumps to the corners and just a little discoloration on the back. Great conversation piece for the collector of Colonial or other early American (or Victorian) antique items, EAPG, and historical nostalgia. First class shipping and materials will cost $1.50.
