Cowan Pottery Art Deco Comport, 1926, Pink
This 3.75" t. Cowan comport was designed by R. Guy Cowan and introduced in 1926. (Cowan Pottery closed at the end of 1931.) The factory shape number is 737. The Apple Blossom glaze is a glossy speckled pink inside, and lined with a waxy Special Ivory. Affordable example of American art deco--and well made too! No chips, hairlines, or repairs.
