This beautifully decorated 6" t. head vase depicts one of the sirens of the American silver screen--is she Jane Wyman? Claudette Colbert?
Hand-painted details, with "full face" makeup, including plucked eyebrows, mascara, rouge, lipstick--and just the right hat--held in place by a scarf around her neck. There is a three-dimensional rose in her bodice (and hopefully not a bee in her bonnet). Dates to the 1950s or 1960s.
Marked UCAGCO in an inkstamp, and die-impressed with an NC logo. Small C-shaped line inside the back rim, and very minor losses to the edge of a rose petal or two. Otherwise, excellent condition.
