This 2-1/8" t. x 3.75" x 3" blue and white low-relief jasperware covered dresser box was made by AMACO (American Art Clay Company, Indianapolis, Indiana) in about 1931. Marked with the standard black inkstamp, which spells out the company's full name and location, with AMACO in the center. Also die-impressed C7--part of an early numbering system that I have not seen on other examples of AMACO. Slightly geometrical shape on the lid, with a diamond cartouche on the sides. Very rare. There is a very small sliver chip along the white trim on the lid... not very noticeable. Otherwise, no nicks, chips, hairlines, or repairs.
