Mayer Art China Elephant American Advertising Tray
This unusual advertising piece is 10.25" long x 6.5" tall, and has a medium-relief elephant and several ivory tusks as the main decoration. The Mayer China Company made a number of designs (including animal sculptures and figural vases and bowls) that were the work of Austrian immigrant Valerie ("Vally") Wieselthier. This piece is not marked with her facsimile signature, but may be her design nonetheless.

Glossy white. No nicks, chips, hairlines or repairs. Believe to date to the 1930s.
