These outstanding art deco sculptures are marked PHOENIX and date to the late 1930s. The birds measure 5.5" t. x 7.5" long and are glazed in a luscious combination of matte dark charcoal gray and thick milky white gloss.
Both figures are also marked with indelible ink 20th C Fox, as they were used as props for several Hollywood movies. One has the ink inventory number 32-2-25074 and the other is 32-2-25075.
Both beaks have a very tiny nick, but otherwise, there are no nicks, chips, hairlines, or repairs.
