Adam Style Neoclassical Mirror. In carved gilt frame surmounted by an urn and festooned with flowers and leaves. The Adam style is identified with a decorative mix of motifs such as vases and grotesque figures and ornaments such as flowers, swags and leaves. The urn at the top draped with flowers and leaves is typical Adam style. Along with the figure at the base of a female torso and face, this is a classic example of Adam ornamentation from top to bottom. Circa 1780. Size: 37.5" L x 14.25" W.

Cherry Swedish Dressing Mirror. One long single drawer punctuated with three ivory pulls to simulate three drawers. The influence of Biedermeier with an emphasis upon clean lines and minimal ornamentality is clearly reflected in this simple but elegant dressing mirror. It is an example of what is called The Swedish Karl Johan Style. Karl Johan was the king of Sweden from 1818-1844. Circa 1840. Size: 14.125" L x 20.25" H x 5.75" D.

Early Sheffield Chamber Stick, complete with snuffer and wick trimmer. Flowers centered by scroll work and leaves decorate this quintessential English classic. The wick trimmer held together with a tudor rose. It was necessary to trim the wick as it curled because it would cause the tallow to smoke.
