Offered here is a perfectly lovely small agateware bowl in wonderful colors of yellow, green, black and sort of rose. The bowl is thinly potted and the glaze is smooth and shiney. The bowl is raised up an a short pedestal base. The interior of the bowl is mottled, as is the underside of the foot. Offered here is one of two fine figural plates by Miles Mason in colors and motif that are similar to the New Hall Boy in the Window pattern. The colors are wonderful, and actually a little more intense than my monitor is showing. There is some kiln trash under the enameling, mostly on the back, but a couple of spots are visible on the front as well. Also some very slight rubbing to the enameling at about 9 o'clock on the front, but really the plate is in fine condition for such an early p ...click for details
