Offered here is a large terra cotta sculpture of an angel with a gilt finish. The angel is on bended knee with a lily in her left hand and her right hand raised in supplication. Her wings are large and flow all the way to the back of the base. The style of the modeling has an art nouveau look to it. The gilding was applied over a red bole which has mellowed and softened over time, and the gilding is worn in places of contact, all to a very pleasing effect.
