| Offered here is a small box containing miniature playing cards. The box is leather with gilt embossing on all sides. The leather is missing from the top, and partially on the back. The interior of the box is marbled paper that appears (under 20x magnification) to be hand painted, but I cannot guarantee that. The box contains two (2) decks of playing cards. The front of the cards are shell pink and have a lithography image of two little birds sitting on a floral branch. The face cards are quite decorative and are lithographs as well. The box measures 3" tall by 2.5" across and 1.75" deep. Made and sold in Rome early 20th century...30's maybe? | |||||||||||
