| This is one of a pair of early 18th century botanicals, on wove paper, one of which bears a watermark. It has recently been framed and matted. The colors and printing are clear and strong, and the margins are good. In overall excellent condition. Inscription reads: Eruca, latifolia, alba, sativa Dioscordis.C.B. Pin. 93 I.R.H.227 Ital. Ruchetta di Orto._ Gall. Roquette. Framed, it is 21.5" by 16". The image size is 15" by 9.5". | |||||
