| This charming pin depicts a barefoot little girl at the beach, pail and shovel in hand, and her dress hiked up and tucked in her sash. The shovel over her shoulder has a drop of water dripping from the end, which is an indication of the delightful details the artist included in this lovely miniature painting. The porcelain is set into a gold filled setting with rope edge trimming at the bottom. From the back the the setting looks a little misshapen, but I think it is probably due to the slight irregularity of the back of the piece of porcelain rather than damage having been done to the brooch. The size is approximately 2.5" by almost 2". | |||||
