| This is a lovely painting. It depicts a nun with a child looking out the window of a train. The child looks a little uncertain and is holding the sister's hand, and rests her head against her lap. You can see a coat or cloak and scarf hanging near the window on the right side. It is very well painted and very interesting. I like the composition quite well. The painting is not signed or dated, but I think it was painted in the early part of the 20th century. It is on canvas laid on board, and framed in a lovely giltwood frame. The size is 12" by 13.5" and the site dimensions are 8" by 9.5". The painting and the frame are in excellent condition. I don't know the origin of the painting but it was purchased in Holland. | |||||||
