|Offered here is a fabulous Japanese redware (Tokoname) umbrella stand, circa 1880. It has highly detailed dragons in relief around it's circumference. It stands approximately 24" and is in excellent condition. Tokoname is one of the 6 historic pottery towns of Japan. The others are Bizen, Shigaraki, Tamba, Seto and Echizen. They are known as "The Six Ancient Kilns of Japan". The Tokoname kilns were said to be the largest and oldest of them all.|
