| Offered here is a beautiful and beautifully carved soapstone figure, Quan Yin, the Goddess of Mercy, made into a lamp in about 1930. The figure is carved all around. She stands on a double base of embossed gilt metal and carved wood. The lamp rod runs up the back rather than through the figure. The shade is new, as is the finial, and the lamp has been rewired. The lamp stands 27.5" high to the top of the finial. | |||||
