| Offered here is an excellent snuff box of horn and tortoiseshell. It dates to around 1840 to 1850. The box measures almost 4" in length and is just over 1.5" deep, and is 1.25" high. The shell inlay is just beautiful. The horn is...well, just horn, with some graining in the front. The hinge works just fine, and there is no damage to the surface. The lid sits slightly ajar. A very nice example of this work. | ||
