| Offered here is a handsome pair of bird figures, guinea hens to be exact, made and hand painted in Italy. The Italian birds of this type are the best in my opinion. The painting is very detailed and very obviously done entirely by hand. Each of these is a little bit different, maybe they are male and female...I don't know my guinea hens. Interestingly, these were made for someone specific. The marks on the bottom (pictured) says that they were made exclusively for the Walter Hatches. These birds are in excellent condition and the taller one stands 7.5" high. I'm not certain when they were made, but probably around 1960-1980. | |||||||
