| Here we have a large porcelain trinket box, hand painted in cobalt blue with excellent hand painted flowers. The flowers include roses,morning glories, and other small daisy type blooms, in foliage. The floral sprays are on both sides of the box, and inside, as well as the top. The box is trimmed in gilt flourishes and a gilt metal rim and closure. On the bottom it is marked with an S, and states that it was "made in Spain exclusively for Franklin Simon". The box measures 4.5" by 3.5" by2.5" high. It is in fine condition, does show light wear consistent with age, and it estimate the box dates to the early 20th century. | |||||||
