| Offered here is an appealing landscape by Texas artist, Virginia Battle Betts (1880-1942). Betts was known for her portraits, landscapes and still lifes. She was also a muralist. Betts studied in NY with William Merritt Chase and, later, in Paris before WWII, where she exhibited in 1930. The painting measures 12.75" by 16.25" as framed, and the site dimensions are 9.5" by 13". It is on artists board. The painting and the gilt wood frame are in fine condition.
