Carved Wood Capital, 18th-19th Century, One of a Pair
This capital is one of a pair I have for sale. It is hand carved soft wood (looks like pine), and put together with pegs and old nails. I believe it to be late 18th century to early 19th century. It is 7" high and 8" across at the top. I have put picture wire on the back so they can hang on the wall. They have very nice color. I like them hung as architectural elements, but they would hold a small vase or bowl or some other object on the shelf part. They are priced at $169.00 each or $300.00 for the pair.
