| Oh dear. This is the cutest thing I have found recently. It is a metal cold painted gnome on a metal vine mounted to a seashell. The Victorians loved nature and incorporated natural items and natural forms into their decorative arts whenever they could. This little piece is rather small having an overall height of only 3". There is paint loss, but the gnome and his hammer and vine are in good shape otherwise. The shell is in very good condition and none of the spines are broken. Circa 1890. | ||||||||
