| (If there's another word for this, do let me know!) This is a wonderfully interesting necklace of round beads that, side view, have a laminated wood look. Each side of each bead has the rounded, luminescent piece that closes up a snail shell. The color of these pieces varies slightly from shades of mocha to cream, and each has some irridescense so, with movement, you get pale flashes of a spectrum of colors. The large beads are separated by small mocha colored beads, and the clasp is a screw on variety. The necklace is approximately 16" long. It is in fine condition, although one piece of snail shell has been replaced with a piece of mother of pearl. (Not obvious.) This necklace looks to me like it would be from, say, the 70's or 80's, but I really don't know beyond that. It's wonderful and so very interesting! | ||
