An attractive pair of Chinese lacquer vases dating to the middle of the 20th century. A rock and peony design is intricately carved into the black lacquer that overlays a red cinnabar type lacquer. This is also carved with a pattern of squares. There are metal rims to top and bottom and the base and interior are finished in a blue enamel. 6.5 inches (16 cms) tall they are in great condition with no signs of damage. |
