HAND RAISED YIXING ZISHA ROUND TEAPOT WITH CANTON ENAMEL DECORATION. The sides have enameled prunus and floral decoration whilst the lid has lucky bat and peach. Rather than being raised on a wheel the sides of the pot are a single slab of clay. It is possible to see where the potter has luted (joined) the ends Good seal marks both to the base and inside the lid. Dating from the early 20th Century it is in good used condition with just some nibbles inside the lid. The height to the top of the lid is 3.5 inches (9 cms). There are well impressed I’Hsing zisha seal marks inside the lid and to the base. |
