ANTIQUE CHINESE CLOISONNE WRITING SET Circa 1900.
A SUPER WRITING SET THAT WOULD GRACE A DESK TODAY. In over 20 years of collecting I have not seen another set like this. Maybe it was a one-off commissioned from a design sent to China from Britain. It comprises:- · Base and pen rest with 3 pens · 2 inkwells with original liners · Blotter · Corners for desk blotter Considering its age and the fact that this set would have been in daily use in Victorian and Edwardian times the condition is very good with just some minor defects. One of the pens is incomplete, one inkwell has a small bruise and the handle of the blotter is loose. |
