JAPANESE MEIJI YUSEN-JIPPO CLOISONNE VASE
From the Meiji period circa 1900, the height of the ‘GOLDEN AGE’ of Japanese cloisonné production, this is a beautifully enameled Japanese cloisonne vase. Subtly shaded, colourful peonies and chrysanthemums have been created on a dark midnight blue ground using fine silver wiring. Of collectible cabinet size it is only 6 inches (15 cms) tall. It is in very good condition with just some faint marks to the glass surface. |
