On offer a lovely old Yixing teapot of tree-trunk shape from early in the 20th Century.
The spout takes the form of pine branch with smaller branch wrapped around the pot. The handle is of intertwined bamboo stems again with a sprig of leaves on the body. The tight fitting lid has a prunus branch and blossom finial. The height is 4.25 inches (11cm) and it measures 7.5 inches (19 cm) across from handle to spout. Condition is good with no faults so this can be used to brew your tea. There is a good 6 character seal mark to the base and potters mark inside the lid.
