On offer a very unusual 19th Century Japanese cloisonne dish circa 1870 - 1880.
On a heavy bronze rather than copper base one can see a dragon emerging from dark clouds with Fujiama behind. Interestingly the dragon and billowing clouds are rendered with wires (yusen shippo) but the snowcapped mountain has the colour graduation achieved without (musen shippo). |
