A very attractive wooden sculpture of an old man walking with a cane and carrying a bag on his shoulder, made of one block of wood. The high level of craftsmanship and details give life to the smiling figure, who seems to be moving at a gentle pace towards an invisible yet happy outcome.

The sculpture was made in Japan and dates from the middle of the 20th century (Showa period)...

A very attractive Noh mask of “magojiro” signed Masaharu.

Onna-men (women’s masks) are the best known and most popular masks of the Noh theater. Magojiro represents a young woman of nobility with an intriguing smile, which, depending on the angle from where it is seen, can show subtle nuances.
