A remarkable inro (traditional Japanese case) made during the Meiji period (1868-1912). It is made of lacquer with inlaid gold and decorated in sublime details with motifs of flowers designed in red or dark lacquer, some sprinkled with nacre. The netsuke is decorated in the same fashion as the inro, and the ojime is made of coral.
