Bizen Sake Set by Yoshimoto Tadashi

This wonderful set of one tokkuri (sake pouring vessel) and one shuhai (sake cup) was made by a potter named Yoshimoto Tadashi, born in the city of Bizen in 1943. Yoshimoto Tadashi is a recognized artist, recipient of several awards and has exposed in many venues in Japan. His work was also selected to be presented in France in 1997. In 2007, he was designated Preserver of Important Intangible Cultural Properties of Okayama prefecture.

This particular set features the famed characteristics of Bizen pottery in all their splendor. It strongly appeals to all the senses and is burning to be used.
