A splendid porcelain pot made in the Satsuma tradition and dating from the Meiji period (1868-1912). It is decorated in sublime details with a rich palette of enamel colors, picturing flowers and butterflies; a wonderful example of the genre and certainly made by the hand of a master craftsman.
