A very fine woodblock print by Torii Kiyomasu I, a painter and printer born at the end of the 17th century (dates uncertain) and active between 1696-1716 (according to most sources).

This well known print, and one of the best of the genre, represents the actor Nakamura Senya playing the role of Tokonatsu in the Kabuki play “The Legacy of the Three-Comma Family Crest Revealed”, c. 1716.

This print is a rarity, and in remarkably good condition with still vibrant colors.

Please refer to pictures for condition and inquire if you have some questions.

Hand colored, Tan-e, Dimensions: 31 x 61 cm (12.4 x 24.4 in)
The print can be shipped in the vintage frame it came with (the frame was damaged in the back, but that did not affect the print).
