| MEET NICOLE. Large Gorham Limited Edition Musical Doll: Gorham places an 18-note musical movement in each doll, the tune chosen to reflect his or her personality. Doll Style: French Period Vintage Doll of the late 1800's representative of the Jumeau dolls. Numbered in Gold at neck base - #484/2500 and dated 1984. Length: 18" Clothing in fine condition but could be press to freshen up. Doll was stored and kept well. Pale Blue satin with lace and large bonnet. She is utterly charming. Note: Photo shows musical area on the back of the neck. Plays "Memory" Not sure home to play it. Gorham Doll History of Musical Dolls: Our designers searched for the perfect doll and found inspiration in the mid-19th century French dolls of Bru and Jumeau, prized by collectors for their delicate bisque faces, fancy coiffures, and elaborate clothing. The Gorham dolls have bisque faces in the famous Bru and Jumeau styles. Their clothing designs is based on the Paris fashions of the mid 1800s.
