Standing Jizo Bosatsu, the right hand holding a pendant censer and the left a hoju (sacred jewel), sculpted in relief from granite. Momoyama~early-Edo Period ca. 1600. Very minor old loss, with softening of the lines and contours overall.

Height: 45 cm
Width: 20.5 cm
Depth: 12 cm.

Sculpted with a tapered base for insertion directly into the ground, this stone requires a wall or other form of lateral support if displayed indoors.

A winning Jizo stone with significant age and in excellent condition.
