An unusual and rare 14k yellow gold ring of a seed pearls and diamond sunburst or starburst ring c1900-10. The sunburst has 10 petals with genuine seed pearls and it has a central claw-set 8 point (measured by flat stone gauge) genuine antique European cut diamond; the shank is stamped 14K with a JIC maker's mark. I have never seen a pearl sunburst ring before in 32 years in antiques, but they most likely were made to go with the pearl lavalieres popular at the time. It is possible that this piece was produced slightly later date, but the ring shank is an appropriate one for the period, and the setting is properly mounted and appears original. This ring weighs 6.3 grams, and it is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses or damage other than some glue residue on a couple of reset pearls (an old repair, and is restorable). The pearls have some colour variation. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use. Trackable surface shipping to the continental U.S. starts at $12.50 (other spots may vary) - insured is higher, and mandatory on items over $85 if paid with a credit card. Items paid with a credit card will be shipped to confirmed addresses only. We do ship internationally. All of our prices are in $US. NOTE: we do NOT accept PayPal.

An attractive late Victorian period porcelain lidded cracker or biscuit jar with a matching accompanying plate c1910. This jar measures 8-7/8" across the handles, and the plate, which looks great as an underplate but is actually just a matching plate that came with the cracker jar, is 7-1/4" across. The design of red, pink and yellow roses is offset by a gradient green ground, and the jar and plate are marked IMPERIAL AUSTRIA. This item is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, losses, damage or repairs; there is a factory miss to the glaze on one handle (see closeups) and some minor rubs to the gold edge on the base and plate rims (the gold was hand applied in a mottled fashion on the handles). All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use. Surface shipping to the continental U.S. starts at $15 (other spots may vary) - insured is higher, and mandatory on items over $85 if paid with a credit card. A lovely vintage Singer 221-1 Featherweight electric sewing machine and carrying case, made in 1949. This machine has the tooled fancy Victorian design end-plate, and the serial number is AJ105109 (for March-November 1949, made in the U.S.), the original foot pedal and various accessories along with the carrying case. The accessories include: black case with leather handle, accessories tray, edge stitcher, zipper foot, hemmer foot, ruffler, binder foot, adjustable hemmer, quilting foot (incomplete) and another unidentified attachment. It has a working lamp, and a Canadian Simanco motor. It runs cleanly, the wiring is intact and undamaged and it appears to be in very good condition except for some minor dulling and surface patina to the black enamel from use. There is some minor alligatoring to the finish (see image) at the top of the machine. The gold decals are intact and bright. The carrying case has one broken hasp (included, could possibly be welded, soldered or replaced, and the other hasp is strong enough to easily lift the case). The leather on the handle is considerably damaged and needs to be replaced (but it lifts fine). There is a slight musty smell to the case. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are secondhand and may have slight signs of gentle use. Surface shipping to the continental U.S. starts at $29 (other spots may vary) - insured is higher, and mandatory on items over $85 if paid with a credit card. Items paid with a credit card will be shipped to confirmed addresses only. We do ship internationally. All of our prices are in $US. NOTE: we do not accept PayPal.
